About the race
ÖTILLÖ Colorado USA is a swimrun event in Fort Collins, Colorado, held on October 4, 2026. The course combines open-water swims in Horsetooth Reservoir with single-track trail running in Lory State Park, and is staged from the Soldier Canyon Event Facility. The race takes place at over 5,000 feet altitude and uses varied terrain including reservoir coves and rugged park trails. The event offers three distances with measured swim, run, total distances, and listed elevation gains: - Colorado Experience: total 6.6 mi; swim 1.98 mi; run 4.6 mi; elevation 355 ft - Colorado Sprint: total 11 mi; swim 2.92 mi; run 11.28 mi; elevation 950 ft - Colorado World Series: total 22.7 mi; swim 5 mi; run 17.64 mi; elevation 1,986 ft Packet pickup is the day before the race at the Visit Fort Collins Welcome Center in Old Town Square.
Mandatory equipment includes a wetsuit, event swim cap and bib, a foldable cup, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether or tow line; solo racers have additional flotation requirements. Post-race amenities include food and drink as well as a sauna and cold plunge at the finish area. Awards are presented for top three teams and solo finishers by gender and mixed teams.
