ÖTILLÖ Colorado USA
ÖTILLÖ Colorado USA is a high-altitude swimrun event held in Fort Collins, Colorado. The course links open-water sections in Horsetooth Reservoir with single-track trail running in Lory State Park. The venue is the Soldier Canyon Event Facility at 708 Lodgepole Dr., Bellvue, CO 80512. The main race date is October 4, 2026.
There are three race distances:
- Colorado Experience - 6 mi total; 1.5 mi swim, 4.5 mi run, 292 ft elevation
- Colorado Sprint - 11 mi total; 3 mi swim, 8 mi run, 944 ft elevation
- Colorado World Series - 23.5 mi; 5 mi swim, 18.5 mi run, 2,091 ft
Packet pickup is mandatory the day before at Runner’s Roost, Square Shopping Center, 3500 S College Ave, Fort Collins; an alternative race-morning pickup is available as a paid option. Mandatory gear includes a wetsuit, shoes to be worn for the entire event, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether; the race supplies a swim cap, bib, timing chip, and a Restube for solo racers. Ark Sports rental wetsuits are offered as an add-on.
Water stops provide plain water and Precision Hydration electrolyte water, and gels are commonly available. Teams must stay together and follow course markings; littering or missing mandatory gear can result in disqualification. Volunteers support race operations and receive a shirt and meal.
