ÖTILLÖ Colorado USA
ÖTILLÖ Colorado USA is a swimrun event in Fort Collins that combines open-water swims in Horsetooth Reservoir with trail running in Lory State Park. The race is held at Soldier Canyon Event Facility, 708 Lodgepole Dr., Bellvue, CO.
Three race distances are offered:
- Colorado Experience: 6 mi total, 1.5 mi swim, 4.5 mi run, 292 ft elevation
- Colorado Sprint: 11 mi total, 3 mi swim, 8 mi run, 944 ft elevation
- Colorado World Series: 23.5 mi total, 5 mi swim, 18.5 mi run, 2,091 ft elevation
Mandatory race equipment includes a wetsuit, swim cap, number bib, timing chip, whistle, compression bandage, and a tether for teams. Organisers provide color coded swim caps, timing chips, and Restube devices for solo racers. Rental wetsuits are available as an add-on.
Packet pickup is mandatory the day before at Runner’s Roost, Square Shopping Center, 3500 S College Ave, Suite 178, Fort Collins; pickup for all races is on Saturday Oct 3, 13:00 to 16:00. Parking at the venue is limited. Lory State Park opens early and park entry fees for athletes and volunteer vehicles are covered until 7:00 AM.
All distances share a single finish line cut-off at 15:00. Water stops have at least two coolers including electrolyte water and gels; improper disposal of trash can result in disqualification. Teams must stay together and follow mandatory gear and course rules. Volunteers receive a t-shirt and meal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
