Event Details
The ÖTILLÖ Austin USA is a swimrun event taking place at Pace Bend Park in Travis County, Texas. The course features a landscape of single track forest trails, shoreline rock formations, and cliffs overlooking Lake Travis. The event marks the end of the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun USA season.
Three race distances are offered, each involving a combination of swimming and running.
- Austin Experience: Total distance 9,895 m (swim 1,765 m, run 8,130 m).
- Austin Sprint: Total distance 15,445 m (swim 3,215 m, run 12,230 m, elevation 131 m).
- Austin World Series: Total distance 25,095 m (swim 4,820 m, run 20,275 m, elevation 255 m).
The race headquarters, packet pickup, start, and finish are located at Camp Texlake within Pace Bend Park.
Race Information
A mandatory race briefing is provided via video. All participants must provide their own shoes, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether (for teams). The event provides a swim cap, a number bib, a timing chip, and a personal flotation device for solo racers.
There are water stops on the course providing water and electrolyte drinks. There is a cut-off time for all distances at 14:00 at the finish line area.
Packet pickup takes place the day before the race at Camp Texlake. An optional race morning packet pickup is available for an extra fee. Changes to registration, such as switching teammates or distances, are allowed, but refunds and deferrals for race entries are not permitted.
Participants can rent wetsuits as an add-on during registration. Volunteers are needed for the event.
The park is about an hour's drive northwest from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. A vehicle entry fee applies for the park unless the participant is staying at the onsite Camp Texlake lodging, which offers beds, breakfast, and parking.
