ÖTILLÖ Austin USA
ÖTILLÖ Austin USA is a swimrun event held at Pace Bend Park, Spicewood, Texas, with race operations based at Camp Texlake. The course area includes single track forest trails, shoreline rock formations, high limestone cliffs and cliff jumps into the Colorado River. The park interior is a wildlife preserve and the west side offers panoramic views of Lake Travis.
The event offers three race distances:
- Austin Experience: total 9,895 m, swim 1,765 m, run 8,130 m
- Austin Sprint: total 15,445 m, swim 3,215 m, run 12,230 m
- Austin World Series: total 25,095 m, swim 4,820 m, run 20,275 m
Camp Texlake provides onsite lodging options. A $60 reservation per bed per person (not per room) includes bed for Friday and Saturday nights, park entry, parking, breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, communal showers, and a common area with refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker.
Packet pickup is mandatory the day before the race at Camp Texlake. Mandatory race-provided items include color coded swim caps, number bibs, timing chips and for solo racers an auto-inflating personal flotation device. Athletes must provide shoes, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether. Water stations supply plain water and electrolyte-infused water and require proper trash disposal; failure to follow trash rules may result in disqualification.
Awards are given to the top three teams and top three solo finishers in each distance. Entry refunds are not permitted; certain registration changes are allowed under event rules. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
