ÖTILLÖ Austin, USA
The ÖTILLÖ Swimrun event in Austin takes place at Pace Bend Park and uses Camp Texlake as race headquarters. The course runs along Lake Travis shoreline and through central Texas Hill Country, with single track forest trails, limestone cliffs, rocky coves, and cliff jumps into the Colorado River.
Three race distances are offered:
- Austin Experience: total 9 895m, swim 1 765m, run 8 130m.
- Austin Sprint: total 15 445m, swim 3 215m, run 12 230m.
- Austin World Series: total 25 095m, swim 4 820m, run 20 275m.
Packet pickup is mandatory the day before at Camp Texlake with scheduled time windows by distance. Camp Texlake offers onsite lodging options; a reserved bed includes park entry, parking, breakfast, communal showers, and common areas. Registrants who do not stay onsite are responsible for park entry fees and parking. Parking is available within the Camp Texlake area; portable restrooms are not provided on course but indoor restrooms are available at the start and finish area.
Mandatory race equipment is provided and checked. Event-provided items include a color coded swim cap, number bib, timing chip, and a Restube for solo racers. Athletes must provide shoes, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether. Severe weather may trigger scheduled delays and ongoing safety assessments.
