ÖTILLÖ Race: Austin USA
The event takes place on 8 November 2026 at Pace Bend Park near Lake Travis in the Austin, USA area. The course combines single-track forest trails, shoreline rock formations and cliff jumps into the water. Camp Texlake serves as race headquarters with the dining hall used for packet pickup and the start/finish area.
Three race distances are offered:
- Austin Experience : total 6.1 mi; swim 1 mi; run 5.1 mi
- Austin Sprint : total 10.25 mi; swim 1.79 mi; run 8.4 mi
- Austin World Series : total 16 mi; swim 2.66 mi; run 13.37 mi
Logistics notes: packet pickup is mandatory the day before the race at Camp Texlake. Park entry is paid by each registrant, typically a vehicle fee. The closest airport is Austin Bergstrom International Airport; drive time to Pace Bend is about 1 hour (42 mi).
Mandatory race-provided items include color-coded swim caps, matching bib numbers, a flotation device for solo racers, and a post-race food wrist band. Mandatory athlete-provided items include shoes to be worn for the entire race, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage (one per team or solo), and a tether (one per team). Limited rental wetsuits are available as an add-on and are picked up during packet pickup.
Awards are given to top three teams and solo athletes by gender and mixed categories. Water stations supply plain water and electrolyte-infused water marked PH, and carry gels; proper disposal of trash on course is enforced. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
