ATX Taco Challenge
The ATX Taco Challenge is a social run and walk held in Austin on October 25, 2026. The event starts and finishes at Fleet Feet Austin, 211 Walter Seaholm Dr, and follows a mapped route shared via the RUNGO app. The main route distance is 5K and includes four planned taco stops where participants pick up one taco per stop.
The participation fee is $40 and includes a taco packet of four tacos, a small white number with safety pins, and a medal. Orders placed by September 5 will have medals ready for pickup after the event; orders placed between September 6 and September 30 will be available for pickup at group runs or at Fleet Feet Austin when announced. The last day to register is October 12, 2026.
This is not an official race. Roads and trails remain open to traffic and the public; participants are responsible for following traffic laws, trail etiquette, and posted parking rules. Parking is free on Sunday, but participants should read parking signs and avoid blocking driveways. There will be one water stop on the route. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. Organizers advise wearing reflective gear and bringing a headlamp if visibility may be low. No refunds will be issued if the event is cancelled, postponed, or modified due to hazardous conditions, severe weather, or circumstances beyond the organizers control.
