3rd Annual Downers Grove Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k
The event takes place in Downers Grove, Illinois, at the Byram Healthcare location on Woodcreek Drive. It is organized as a community run and walk with professional race timing and family oriented activities. Pets that can be outside safely are welcome; water and a water bowl will be provided.

- 50 yard Kids Runs for two age groups
The 5K uses a looped course that travels on Birchwood Place, Lacey Road, and Woodcreek Drive and finishes on Woodcreek Drive. Participants may run, walk, or roll any portion of the course, but awards are limited to those who complete the full 5K.
Registration options include an open 5K category and an ostomate category. Registration fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for each kids run; these fees include a unisex adult or youth T-shirt, a bib, and a participant swag bag. Early bird pricing reduces the 5K fee by $5.00 through late July, with a higher price afterward.
Awards include medals for the top three overall 5K finishers by gender and top three in the ostomate category, plus awards for the top three in each kids run. Door prizes require presence to win. Complimentary refreshments and sponsor samples will be available after the event.
Fundraising incentives include a full registration refund for individuals who raise $150 or more. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax deductible. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
