ORRRC Wingman 10k - 25 July 2026
The event is a 10 km running race held in Beavercreek at EJ Nutter Park, 865 Factory Road, OH 45434. The course is flat and paved, running along the Creekside Trail.
The race was established in memory of military personnel lost in a 2008 B-52 crash off the coast of Guam and is organized under the ORRRC WingMan 10K concept. The event emphasizes teamwork through randomized color-team assignments. Runners are assigned one of six color teams: yellow, green, blue, orange, red, or purple. Walkers and optional non-competitive participants are assigned to black or gray teams. Participants receive a wristband in their team color and team sizes are balanced by random assignment.
Starts are staggered by age and sex to balance team competition; chip timing records each runner's true race time. Awards are given to the first 25 runners overall and to the first color-team of runners and the first color-team of walkers, based on team members crossing the finish.
Registration is handled through RunSignup. Pre-registered minors require a parent or guardian liability waiver and pick up a timing chip at the green table on race day. Current ORRRC members run free; military and veterans are free with DD-214 or military/VA ID. Non-members pay $10 for ages 15 and up and participants 14 and under are free. Volunteer positions are coordinated through the event's volunteer registration on RunSignup. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
