ORRRC Englewood 5k

The event is a 5k running race held at Englewood Metropark West Park, 100 E. National Rd., Englewood, OH. The course is an out and back on the park bike path. The first 0.5 mile is mostly downhill and the final 0.5 mile includes a noticeable climb. The race will use Lawmill Shelter as the event area.

Parking access is from I 70 to the State Route 48 exit, then north on Route 48 into Englewood. Do not cross the dam. The event entrance is ER-5 at the intersection of National Road US 40 and Main Street US 48. Follow the park road to the parking lot.

Registration is available through RunSignup and remains open until shortly before the race. In-person registration is available on race day and hard copy registration sheets are provided. Minors must be registered by a parent or guardian or registered in-person with a parent or guardian signing the waiver. If a member does not register online, proof of ORRRC membership must be shown at the event to receive member fees.

All participants must check in and attach an assigned timing chip to one shoe. Look for the table with the green tablecloth to collect chips. Organizers recommend arriving at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm up.

Fees are waived for current ORRRC members when membership is verified. Non members pay 10 dollars for ages 15 and up; ages 14 and under are free. Award categories include overall male and female, masters 40 and over, grand master 50 and over, and senior 60 and over. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Ribbons are provided for ages 0 to 9 for all participants. Finisher medals are awarded to the top three in each listed age group from 10 14 through 80 and up.

Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs. Any other animals will be removed and will not receive a timing chip or appear in results or photos. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
