Event Overview
The ORRRC Challenging Perceptions Adaptive Trail Race takes place at the Russ Nature Reserve in Beavercreek, Ohio. It is a trail race organized by the Ohio River Road Runners Club, a volunteer-run non-profit.
Distances
Participants can choose from three different distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 2 miles
- 1 mile
Course and Accessibility
The course is designed to be fully adaptive, accommodating racers who use wheelchairs or require other adaptive support, as well as runners and walkers.
Registration and Fees
Pre-registration is available through RunSignup. Race-day registration is also available online until approximately 15 minutes before the event starts. Paper forms are also an option.
The fee structure is as follows:
- The event is free for all current Ohio River Road Runners Club (ORRRC) members.
- For non-members, the fee is $10 for ages 15 and up.
- Participation is free for ages 14 and under. Members must show proof of membership on race day if they did not register through the club's RunSignup profile.
What's Included
As a "small race" from the club, there are no participant shirts or finisher medals. The entry fee provides a chip-timed finish, refreshments, and the possibility of age group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
