ORRRC Challenging Perceptions Adaptive Trail Race
The event is held at Russ Nature Reserve, 2380 Kemp Road, Beavercreek, OH. The course is fully adaptive and designed to accommodate runners, walkers, and participants using wheelchairs or other adaptive equipment. Adaptive chair participants have scheduled start times, while other participants use a staggered rolling start.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 2 miles
- 1 mile
Registration is available online and in person; hard copy registration sheets are also provided on race day. Minors may be registered by a parent or guardian online or in person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver. Current ORRRC members are eligible to run for free when membership is verified; non-members pay a fee of $10 for ages 15 and up, and the event is free for ages 14 and under. Members who do not register through the online system must show proof of membership on race day to receive member fees.
All participants must check in before the event and attach their assigned timing chip to a shoe; timing chips are distributed at the check-in table marked by a green tablecloth. Shirts are available through the event sponsor and can be declined during registration; quantities may be limited. Animals are not permitted except for clearly identified service dogs.
