Event
The ORRC Best Dam Run takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in Estacada, Oregon. The event is a point-to-point 10K with two entry options:
- Best Dam Run 10k (Run or Run/Walk)
- Best Dam Run 10k (Walk Only)
The event is limited to 750 entrants. Post-race food and awards are planned near SE 4th Avenue and Broadway in downtown Estacada. Results and photos will be posted by the Oregon Road Runners Club.
Course and logistics
The course starts near the east end of Faraday Road and finishes on 4th Avenue just off Broadway. Participants are bussed about 6 miles east of Estacada to the North Fork Lake start. The route follows the Clackamas River, with the first 4.5 miles on a private PGE road and the remaining section along Highway 224; runners should stay in the coned bike lane and follow certified flaggers.
The 10K course is USATF certified. There are two aid stations (at the start and around Mile 3), six porta-potties at the start and six at the finish, and a drop-bag service returned to 4th & Main. Packet pick-up is at the square near 4th and Main. Use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged; strollers, baby joggers and dogs are not permitted.
