ORRC Best Dam Run - 10K
The ORRC Best Dam Run is a point to point 10 km event that follows the wild and scenic Clackamas River. The course begins near North Fork Lake and finishes in downtown Estacada, running alongside river, forested areas and notable geology. Wildlife sightings such as bald eagles, osprey and colorful waterfowl are mentioned as part of the course experience.
Participants are bused approximately six miles east of Estacada to the North Fork Lake start. The event offers two registration options over the same distance: a run or run/walk category, and a walk only category. Walkers are expected to follow the ORRC walk policy that requires one foot to remain on the ground at all times; running at any point makes a walker ineligible for walking awards.
Post-race food and awards are held near the finish line at SE 4th Ave and Broadway in downtown Estacada. The event is limited to 750 entrants. The published registration fee for the 10 km entries is $49.00. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
