Boring Marathon and associated races - Boring, Oregon
The event offers multiple race options and a virtual series in Boring, Oregon on September 13, 2026. Four in-person distances are available:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The marathon is a Boston qualifier. Races are officially timed and include aid stations along the course. Finishers receive a medal and a tech race shirt; custom bibs and postrace food and drinks are provided. For 2026 the finisher medals will be 3D printed, with local school students involved in designing the logo and a design release planned by the end of April.
The event is organized entirely by volunteers and operates as a nonprofit. All net proceeds support Sam Barlow High School track and field and cross country, and the West Orient and Damascus middle school track and field teams. The race continues a partnership with Sneakers4Good to collect worn but usable running shoes.
Additional features for 2026 include a free kid's mile for children 12 and under with a ribbon, and informal mentions of goats, slugs on the trail, and bagels available after the race.
