About the race
The Boring Marathon event on September 13, 2026 in Boring, Oregon offers multiple race options and supports local school running programs. The event includes an in-person race series and a virtual race series.
Races are officially timed and the full marathon is a Boston Qualifier. The event provides aid stations, course support from volunteers, custom bibs, a tech race shirt, finisher medals, and post-race food and drinks. Organizers plan to release the medal design by the end of April and to 3D print the medals with involvement from local school students.

Entry fees begin at lower levels and increase monthly. A free kid's mile is available for children 12 and under; finishers in that event receive a ribbon. All event operations are run by volunteers. The event is nonprofit and all proceeds, after basic event costs, go to Sam Barlow High School track and field and cross country and to West Orient and Damascus middle school track and field teams.
