Orland Park Veterans Liberty Run and Walk
The Orland Park Veterans Liberty Run and Walk takes place at Centennial Park in Orland Park, Illinois. This event features multiple course options that utilize the park grounds. A portion of the proceeds from the event is donated to local veterans organizations.
The event offers several activities for different interests:
- 2 Mile Run (Timed)
- 1 Mile Walk (Not Timed)
- 50 Yard Dash (Kid’s Run for Fun)
Participants in the 2 mile run and 1 mile walk receive a dri-fit race shirt, a USA hand flag, and post-race refreshments. Registration for these distances also includes entry into a prize raffle and a pass for one free admission to the Centennial Park Aquatic Center, valid for specific dates following the race.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers in the timed run. Additionally, medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in various age categories, ranging from 9 and under up to 70 and older. The 50 yard dash is a free event for children where all participants receive a medal. Packet pick-up is available in the days leading up to the race at Human Race on LaGrange Road or at the race site on the day of the event.
