Orangeandblackgetfit 5k Color Run : Cy Young Festival, Newcomerstown, OH
The Orangeandblackgetfit 5k Color Run is the 9th Annual Hero Hustle 5k Walk and Run held during the Cy Young Festival at Cy Young Memorial Park in Newcomerstown, Ohio on June 27, 2026. The event is a timed 5k color run; participants are encouraged to wear white shirts to be powdered along the course.
All proceeds support three local nonprofits: veterans organizations, the Orangeandblackgetfit team, and the Cy Young Festival Committee. The top three men, top three women, and top three children aged 14 and under receive medals. The top finisher in each category receives an autographed baseball from the 2012 National League Cy Young Award winner.
Registration is offered online prior to the event and there is race day registration at the pavilion in front of the Cy Young pool, though same-day registrants are not guaranteed a headband. The standard entry fee is $25 and includes a patriotic bay band headband and a free day pass to the Cy Young Pool. Veterans and children under 9 are eligible for free entry; a headband is not included with free registration. For an additional $5, a veteran's name can be added to a racing bib via electronic payment. Water stops will be available on course and a food truck will be on site. A rain date is scheduled for July 18, 2026. Volunteers are welcome to staff intersections, color stations, or water stops. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
