Operation School Bell 5K
The Operation School Bell 5K takes place in Norman, Oklahoma, with activities centered at the University of Oklahoma OMU Student Union, 900 Asp Ave, Norman, OK 73019. The event runs across a multi-day range in spring 2026 and offers in-person and virtual options.
The event is an annual fundraiser hosted by Assistance League Norman. All proceeds benefit the Operation School Bell philanthropic program, which provides free, new clothing to students in the Norman and Little Axe school districts. All registered participants receive an Operation School Bell T-shirt. Fun Run participants receive a participation medal; virtual 5K participants do not receive a medal.
Distances included:
- OSB 5K - a 5 kilometer road race.
- OSB 5K - 1 Mile Fun Run - a one mile participation run.
- OSB 5K - Virtual - a self-timed virtual 5K option.
The course uses a USATF certified map on the University of Oklahoma campus. The event is designated no pets allowed. A weather cancellation policy covers severe conditions such as tornado warnings or watches, thunderstorms, lightning, and excessive wind with rain; organizers may delay or cancel for safety. In the event of cancellation, registered runners will receive email information about medal and T-shirt distribution.
Parking and restroom facilities are available on campus, including a free Duck Pond parking lot, the Oklahoma Memorial Union parking garage, and metered spaces near Campus Corner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
