Endurance Event at Horseshoe Lake State Park
Operation GRANITE X is an endurance event scheduled to take place at Horseshoe Lake State Park in Granite City, Illinois. The event follows the X Series format, which consists of escalating weight endurance loops. Participants complete a course that increases in difficulty as the event progresses.
The course structure involves specific distance increments:
- 5.6 miles per loop, which is comprised of two 2.8-mile laps.
The primary mechanism of the event is the addition of weight with every completed loop. Each successive loop is intended to be heavier than the previous one. This repetition continues until only one participant remains to be awarded the Gold level recognition.
