Event Overview

The Open Water Swim Challenge & Aquathlon offers a range of swim-only and swim-run events. It takes place at the Cedar Hill State Park, South Boat Ramp in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Events and Distances

Participants can choose from several event formats:

• Sprint Aquathlon: A swim-run combination. Registration is open to ages 11-99.
• Sprint Aquathlon Relay: A team-based swim-run event for teams of two. Registration is open to ages 11-99.
• Olympic Aquathlon: A swim-run combination. Registration is open to ages 15-99.
• Olympic Aquathlon Relay: A team-based swim-run event for teams of two. Registration is open to ages 15-99.
• Open Water Swims: Individual swim events at distances of 750m, 1500m, and 2.4 miles. Registration for the 750m and 1500m is open to ages 11-99, while the 2.4-mile swim is open to ages 13-99.
• US Masters Swimming Waves: Swim events at distances of 750m, 1500m, and 2.4 miles specifically for USMS members, offering a registration discount. These are open to ages 18-99.
• Adaptive Athlete Open Water Swim: A 2.4-mile swim event for adaptive athletes. Registration is open to ages 15-99.
