Event
The Open Water Swim Challenge & Aquathlon takes place on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Cedar Hill State Park, South Boat Ramp, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. The event includes standalone open water swims and combined swim-plus-run (aquathlon) formats. Registration prices are shown per event and increase after December 31, 2025. Program and categories
Aquathlon entries include a Sprint Aquathlon and Sprint Aquathlon Relay (teams of 2), and an Olympic Aquathlon and Olympic Aquathlon Relay. Sprint events are open to ages 11 to 99. Olympic events are open to ages 15 to 99.
Open water swim distances offered:
- 750 m
- 1500 m
- 2.4 mile
Open Water Swim 750 m and 1500 m have listed entry prices of $30; Open Water Swim 2.4 Mile is listed at $40. US Masters Swimming (USMS) wave entries are offered for the same distances with a $20 discount when a USMS number is entered; USMS waves are open to ages 18 to 99. An Adaptive Athlete Open Water Swim 2.4 Mile category is listed and is open to ages 15 to 99. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
