Several 5 km entries are offered: chip timed races for runners and wheelchair racers, a non-timed run/walk option, a three-person 5 km relay, and a cross country team challenge for middle and high school athletes. The 1 mile Fun Strut is reserved for children under 10; children under 5 register free and ages 5 to 9 have a $10 registration fee. Most 5 km entries list a $30 fee; the XC Team 5k Challenge is free.
The course is a relatively flat, paved loop around downtown Wytheville. Organizers note that November mornings can be frigid and advise appropriate clothing. Parking is available at the café, next door at the HOPE Ministry Center, and across Main Street in a church parking lot. On-site registration opens the morning of the event. Warm refreshments are served after the conclusion of the races.
