Fast & Fiorini 5K
This event takes place on May 16, 2026 in downtown Wytheville at the Open Door Cafe, 650 W Main St. It combines a chip-timed 5K and separate children's fun runs, plus an afternoon Brews and Bands festival at the same location with local musicians, brews, food, and kid activities.
Distances offered:
- 5K - chip timed race for participants aged 10 and up.
- 1 mile - children's fun run for participants under 10; under 5 free.
The 5K follows a mostly flat route leaving the Open Door Cafe, turning onto Spring Street, running through residential neighborhoods, crossing the railroad tracks near Farmer's Milling, and returning to the cafe. Parking is available at the cafe, at the adjacent Open Door Community building, and across Main Street in a church lot.
On-site registration is available. Refreshments are provided free at the start and finish areas. Race shirts are provided for chip-timed participants. Prizes are awarded to the top three overall finishers. For the children's running options, children 5 to 9 have a registration fee listed in event details and children under 5 may register for free; an adult may accompany a child for a cool-down walk.
