This race is the first of five events in the North Carolina Road Mega Medal Series; finisher medals from each race in the series connect to form a larger multi-race medal. The organizer publishes a refund and transfer policy: no refunds within 30 days of the event; requests made earlier than 30 days may receive a 50 percent refund of the entry fee excluding processing fees; entries can be transferred to another individual for a $5 transfer fee and cannot be deferred to another event or year.
