Birdland 5K Trail Race
The Birdland 5K is a trail running event held in Montpelier, Vermont. The course is located within the North Branch Park and features a variety of natural terrain. Participants navigate a route consisting of rolling singletrack, forested hills, and paths alongside seasonal brooks. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions, and while the course is marked for runner safety, the trails remain open to other pedestrians and cyclists during the race.

The event follows a mass start format for all participants. As part of a conservation initiative, the race is a cupless event. Runners are required to bring their own hydration solutions, such as reusable cups, bottles, or hydration packs, as no plastic cups are provided on the course.
The race is part of the established Central Vermont Runners and Onion River Outdoors Race Series. Recognition is provided for the top three overall finishers, as well as the top three finishers within each specific category.
