Onion River Outdoors Birdland 5K, Montpelier VT
The Onion River Outdoors Birdland 5K is a trail race on May 30, 2026 that begins adjacent to the Montpelier Recreation Pool at 1 Poolside Drive and continues onto the North Branch trails. The course is primarily single track, with about 95 percent single track surface, and includes technical sections with roots and rocks.
The route gains roughly 500 feet in elevation and reaches a maximum grade of 16 percent. Trails will remain open to bicycles and pedestrians during the event; the course will be marked and signed for runner safety. Organizers anticipate using the same route as the 2025 race unless changes are announced.
