O'Neal Memorial Cherry Festival 5k Run/Walk
The event is a community 5k run and a 5k walk held on July 18, 2026, at Gibson Park in North East, Pennsylvania. It is presented as an event for the entire family and includes all you can eat ice cream sundaes served after the race. Proceeds benefit the North East High School Scholarship Fund in memory of O'Neal family members and the North East High School Cross Country Team.
Online registration is available from April 4, 2026 through May 30, 2026. The fee for each entry is $20.00. A limited supply of T-shirts will be available; registering online guarantees the shirt size selected at registration. T-shirts are available for pickup at check-in.
Prizes are awarded to overall male and female winners in both the 5k walk and the 5k run. Additional prizes for the 5k run are given to male and female winners in the following age groups: Under 10, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+.
