One King Sports 15K
One King Sports 15K is organized by One King Sports, a registered 501(c)(3) focused on youth sports fundamentals and character development. Proceeds from the event go toward providing sports seasons for area youth and toward scholarships for children in need.
The route follows the Harrison County Rail Trail for 15 kilometers (9.3 miles). Runners start at Horizons Church in Lost Creek and finish at the Freedom Shelter in front of the Splash Zone at Veteran's Memorial Park in Clarksburg, WV. The course description notes it is easy to follow and will have water and volunteers along the way.
A shuttle is provided to transport racers from the finish back to the start prior to the event; this option is available during registration. There is a three hour time cutoff for the 15K, which corresponds to an approximate pace of 14.21 minutes per mile.
Entry fees are stated as $40 for online registration through October 8, 2026, with race day registration listed at $45. Registered entrants through September 12, 2026 will receive a long sleeve race t shirt. Awards include custom trophies for the top three overall male and female finishers and a custom race patch for other finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
