Event Overview
The Grafton 5 Mile Run is a running event on Sunday, March 15, 2026. It includes three separate events: a 5 Mile Run, a 2 Mile Run/Walk, and a half-mile Kids Fun Run for participants 12 and under. The event is sponsored by the Grafton High School track teams.
Location & Course
All events start and finish on the track at Grafton High School, located at 400 Yates Avenue in Grafton, West Virginia. Parking is available in the student parking lot next to Sam Bord Drive.
Schedule & Registration
The event schedule begins with the Kids Fun Run, followed by the simultaneous start of the 5 Mile Run and 2 Mile Run/Walk. Online registration closes on March 14, 2026. A race shirt is guaranteed for early registrants; for those registering after March 1st, shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis for remaining quantities and sizes.
Awards & Details
Awards are given in the 5 Mile Run to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as to top finishers in age categories: Under 18, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. For the 2 Mile Run/Walk, awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and to top finishers in age categories from 17 & under to 80 & up. Post-race refreshments and an awards ceremony are held in the Grafton High School cafeteria. The event is part of the NCWV race series.
