Event Overview
The Bridgeport Running Easter Egg 5k is an annual athletic event held in Bridgeport, West Virginia. Scheduled for early April, the event serves as the third race in the NCWV Race Series. The activities take place at Bridgeport Running on South Virginia Avenue.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5 km Run/Walk
- 1 mile Kids Bunny Run
Course Details and Facilities
The 5 km course follows a route starting and ending near the Bridgeport Running store. For the younger participants, the 1 mile Kids Bunny Run is an out-and-back course held on the trail located above the store. Portable toilets are provided for participant use near the finish line area. Packet pick-up and day-of registration services are available on-site on the morning of the event.
Participant Information and Recognition
The event provides specific commemorative items and awards based on registration and performance. The first 100 registered participants, including those in the kids' category, receive a short-sleeve shirt. In the 5 km race, the top three male and female finishers are awarded Easter baskets. Every participant in the Kids Bunny Run receives an Easter participation award. Results for the timed events are posted following the conclusion of the races.
