Event Details
The One in 5K & Fun Run takes place at Salisbury Community Park on Hurley School Road in Salisbury, North Carolina. It features two events: a 5K race and a Fun Run.
The race proceeds support the Family Crisis Council of Rowan, Inc., an organization that has provided services to victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, incest, and human trafficking in Rowan County since 1978. The event is held in April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
Registration opens on February 1, 2026. Pre-registration for the 5K costs $25, while race-day registration is $30. The Fun Run costs $10. A T-shirt is guaranteed for all pre-registered participants. On race day, registration and check-in are available in the morning.
Awards
For the 5K event, awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, who are not eligible for age group awards. Awards are also given to the top three male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups range from 11 & Under to 70 & Over. All participants aged 12 and under in the Fun Run receive a participation medal. Walkers in the 5K are eligible for age group awards.
