OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge
The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is a continuous 24 hour running event held at Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove, located at 7750 Jim Harper Ln, Mint Hill, NC 28227. The event offers individual solo entries and team relay entries with teams sized from 2 to 12 runners.
The course is a loop of approximately 1.35 miles. Terrain includes crushed gravel, wooded singletrack, grassy trail, and a short paved section near the parking lot. The loop begins and ends at the same location with access to the aid area on each lap. A timing chip on the bib automatically records loops.
An aid station at the start finish area supplies water, electrolytes, broth, gels, snacks, sandwiches, and rotating hot food overnight and through the following day. Bathrooms are located near the aid station. Ample parking is available and participants may set up tents or operate directly from vehicles for crew access and rest. Propane grills and open flames are not permitted in the park except in the stationary charcoal grills fixed near the overhead shelters.
Participant items include a custom finisher medal and an event shirt. Distance based awards include a special finisher medal for those who reach 100K and a custom belt buckle for those who reach 100 plus miles. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
