The 36th SPAR Omagh Half Marathon & 5K takes place on 29 March 2026 at Omagh Leisure Complex, Old Mountfield Road, Omagh, BT79 7EG. The event includes the following distances:

The race is organised by Omagh Harriers A.C. The event traces back to 1981 (originally 10 miles), changed to the half marathon distance in 1987, was relaunched by Omagh Harriers in 2000, and is held in its 36th edition in 2026. Organisers expect up to 5000 participants in 2026 and previously recorded entry growth from 240 participants in 2000.
Registration, entry and categories
Entries open 3 October 2025 and close 14 February 2026. Entry fees include a booking fee and are non-transferable. Published fees are:
- Half Marathon (Run) £35.00
- Half Marathon (Wheelchair) £28.00
- Half Marathon (Walk) £28.00
- 5k Run £12.00
Age limits are set relative to the event date (29/03/2026). Wheelchair and walk categories are offered alongside running categories.
Race features and prizes
The event uses chip timing and provides race pacers, finishers’ T-shirts for half marathon finishers, medals for all finishers, street entertainment, post-race massage and finish-line refreshments. Pacers are listed for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30 target times. A prize fund of over £6,000 is available, plus a £250 bonus for the first male and female to beat the listed half marathon record times.
