Event overview
The 36th SPAR Omagh Half Marathon & 5K takes place on 29 March 2026 at Omagh Leisure Complex, Old Mountfield Road, Omagh, BT79 7EG. The event includes a half marathon and a 5k run, with wheelchair and walk options in the half marathon category. The race uses chip timing and provides race pacers, street entertainment, post-race massage, finish-line refreshments and goodie bags for finishers. A prize fund of over £6,000 is available, plus a £250 bonus for the first male and female to beat the existing half marathon record times. Pacers are listed for target half marathon times of 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30.
The event is the 36th running of the race. It began as a 10-mile race in 1981, changed to the half marathon distance in 1987, was cancelled from 1997 to 1999, and was relaunched in March 2000.
