36th SPAR Omagh Half Marathon & 5K - 29 March 2026
The event is the 36th edition of the Omagh Half Marathon and 5k run, organised by Omagh Harriers A.C. It takes place at Omagh Leisure Complex, Old Mountfield Road, Omagh, BT79 7EG. The race began as a 10 mile event in 1981, changed to the half marathon distance in 1987, was paused from 1997 to 1999, and was relaunched by Omagh Harriers in 2000. Participation has grown since 2000, when 240 people took part.

Entry, features and prizes
Entries open 3 October 2025 and close 14 February 2026. Entry fees include a booking fee and are non-transferable: Half Marathon run £35.00, Half Marathon wheelchair £28.00, Half Marathon walk £28.00, 5k run £12.00. Registration is via the SiEntries system and requires a user account.
The event offers chip timing, race pacers, street entertainment, finish-line refreshments, post-race massage, finisher medals for all races, and a guaranteed T-shirt for half marathon finishers. Pacers are listed for 1:30, 1:45, 2:00, 2:15 and 2:30 target times. A prize fund of over £6,000 is available, plus a £250 bonus for the first male and first female to break the half marathon record times (Male 64:46, Female 74:28).
