2026 Oliver Triathlon
The Oliver Triathlon is a multi-sport event held over two days in the South Okanagan region of British Columbia. The weekend features eight different events catering to various distances and formats, including standard triathlon, aquabike, and relay options. The 2026 edition also hosts the BC Provincial Mixed Team Relay (MTR) Championships.
The competition takes place across several scenic landscapes in Oliver. Participants swim in the spring-fed waters of Tucelnuit Lake, which typically maintains temperatures between 18 and 22°C in early June. The bike course follows country roads through local vineyard areas, followed by a run through residential neighborhoods and alongside the Okanagan River.
Available race distances and formats include:
- Sprint (Individual)
- Standard (Individual, Aquabike, or Relay)
- Long Course / Half Iron (Individual, Aquabike, or Relay)
- Mixed Team Relay (Teams of 2 males and 2 females)
Registration includes a silicone swim cap, body marking race tattoos, a race garment, and a finisher medal. The course features stocked aid stations, and post-race food is provided to participants. On-site services include bike technicians and professional medical staff. All athletes are required to have valid race-day insurance through a Triathlon BC membership or a pre-purchased one-day permit.
This event serves as a World Triathlon Age Group Qualifier for the Sprint, Long Course, Long Course Aquabike, and Mixed Team Relay categories. Package pick-up is located at the Tucelnuit Elementary School Gym. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
