About the race
The Half Corked Marathon is a multi-day wine country running event held in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country from May 27 to May 30, 2027. The main run follows a course being finalized at approximately 20-24 km, routing through vineyards and valleys on the Black Sage Road and the Golden Mile, and including sections along the Okanagan River. Winery stations are placed along the route and a finish line celebration takes place at Oliver Community Park with live music, food trucks, an artisan market and wine tasting options.
Registration is managed by lottery and entry requires attendees to be of legal drinking age in British Columbia. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Participants must register in person on the Friday before the race and present valid identification. The event is endorsed by BC Athletics and participants should be able to run at least 5 km over some inclines and rugged terrain; a sag wagon is available to assist those who do not reach the midway point.
Race registration includes a welcome bag, transportation to the start line and from the finish line (from Oliver, Osoyoos and Penticton), wine and tasting bites on the course, and a picnic lunch at the finish. Costumes are permitted and prizes are awarded for best individual, best team and best skit. Separate ticketed dinners and social events are scheduled across the weekend, including a vineyard tailgate, a Block Party at Nostalgia Wines and Dinner at the Farm.
