Half Corked Marathon

The Half Corked Marathon is an annual running event held in Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country. The 18th edition in May 2026 features a unique course of approximately 20–24 km that winds through vineyards and valleys, including the Golden Mile and Black Sage Road, with sections along the Okanagan River. Winery stations appear along the route to offer wines and tasting bites. A finish line celebration at the community park includes live music, food trucks, an artisan market and wine tastings. General admission to the finish celebration is free; a separate tasting ticket includes a souvenir glass and samples.

The event is endorsed by BC Athletics. Participants must be 19 years or older and should be able to run at least 5 km over uneven terrain and some incline to complete the course in the allotted time. Wave start times are assigned on race morning and participants have a maximum of 3.5 hours to finish. A sag wagon will assist and transport participants who do not reach the midway cut off to the finish line party.

Registration via the event includes a curated welcome bag, transportation to the start and from the finish from Oliver, Osoyoos and Penticton, picnic lunch at the finish, wine and food tastings along the course, and opportunities to meet local producers. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded for best individual costume, best team and best skit. Additional ticketed weekend events include the Tailgate Social, the Block Party held on a vineyard block, and Dinner at the Farm, a seated multi-course meal hosted by winemakers. Some of these events include transportation and caterers have limited ability to accommodate special dietary requests. All race tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable and in-person registration the Friday before the race is required. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
