About the race
The Oley Valley Country Classic is an annual road event held in Oley, Pennsylvania, organized by the Pagoda Pacers and staged at Oley Valley High School. The event includes two distances:
- 10 mile
- 6K
The course runs on country roads through Oley farm country during peak fall foliage and features rolling hills with some flat, faster sections. The 10 mile race is designated as an RRCA Eastern Regional Championship and offers additional championship awards. Professional timing is provided by Pretzel City Sports, with split times at most miles.
Aid support is provided on course with two aid stations for the 10 mile and one aid station for the 6K; both offer water and Gatorade Endurance Formula. Race logistics include indoor facilities for registration and post-race gathering, and ample off-street parking. Lite post-race fare and hydration are available.
Proceeds support the Oley Valley High Athletic Boosters, the Athletic Hall of Fame, and the Pagoda Pacer student scholarship fund. Pre-registration by October 10 secures a race shirt; shirts are not guaranteed on race day. The event has run for multiple editions and returns each November in Oley.
