Old Jo's Firecracker 5K 2026
The Old Jo's Firecracker 5K is a chip timed, certified road race held on July 4, 2026 in Saint Jo, Texas. The course departs from the historic Saint Jo Square, goes through the countryside north of town, and returns to the square for the finish. Timing and results will be provided by Run2Win.
This edition marks the 18th year of the event. The race includes age bracket awards for male and female runners and concludes with an awards ceremony. A fun run for preschool aged children is held after the 5K and before the awards ceremony; registration for that fun run may be completed on site.
Packet pickup and on site packet collection are available the day before at the Gazebo on the square. Race day onsite registration and check in are also available at the Gazebo on the square. The event is hosted by the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and Easy Street Animal Shelter. The community schedule for the holiday includes activities at Boggess Park and a fireworks display at sundown.
