Old Goat Track Club XC Classic
The Old Goat Track Club XC Classic is a 5-kilometer cross-country race held on 08/23/2026 at Waters Farm, 53 Waters Road, Sutton, Massachusetts. This is the fourth running of the event and includes separate open races for women and men over the same 5K course.
The course follows the same path as the previous year, briefly crossing pavement and described as spike friendly. Parking is available on site at two designated lots; Waters Road serves as the only entry and exit to the farm, and one lot will have restricted entry and exit during race activity to prioritize runner safety. Volunteers will staff exits to direct traffic and assist in case of emergency.
Pre-registration is listed at $35 plus a transaction fee. Day-of registration is by paper application at the Darling Barn for $40; day-of payments accepted in cash or via Venmo. Runners who are unattached must select "Unattached" to indicate no team affiliation. Changes to team affiliation should be made prior to race day.
There is no water fountain on site. Water and bananas will be available at the finish. Portable toilets will be provided, including one handicapped accessible unit located at the Darling Barn. A designated team tent area will be available by the starting line.
A brief awards ceremony follows the event with awards for top three individuals, top teams, and masters winners in multiple categories for both men and women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
