OktoberfestGR Bier Stein 5K and 8K
The event offers two timed running distances around Riverside Park on a closed course using the park paths. The available distances are:

- 8K
Both distances are presented as part of the OktoberfestGR Bier Stein event on September 26, 2026, at Riverside Park, 3061 Monroe Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505. Entry for each race carries a registration fee of $30.00. Participants receive a technical race shirt and a finishers medal, plus free entry into the festival and a complimentary bier or wine.
An optional Oktoberfest challenge combines the Grand Rapids 5K on September 26 with the Lansing Oktoberfest 5K on September 12. Completing the challenge earns a special additional medal. The challenge has a limited number of entries.
