The event takes place at the Deutsches Haus, 1700 Moss Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. The start and finish are located at the Deutsches Haus and the course circles the Fairgrounds Racetrack. Packet pickup and race day registration are held at the Deutsches Haus.

The NOTC Family entry requires 2 to 6 persons living in the same household and includes two race premiums. The Horsepower Challenge is a race within the race on the track; top male and female finishers on the track receive prizes. Race bibs grant two free entries, valued at $20, to the New Orleans Oktoberfest for use on any weekend; race bib tickets are one use only.

The event is held alongside Oktoberfest activities at the Fairgrounds. Oktoberfest features German beers, food, live music, and dancing. An award ceremony on the main Oktoberfest stage is planned, with details subject to change. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
