Oktoberfest 5K Run & Walk
The Oktoberfest Run & Walk takes place in New Orleans and features a course that connects two local landmarks. The event is part of the 2026 Grand Prix race series and is organized by the New Orleans Track Club.
The route begins at the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots on Gentilly Boulevard. Participants follow a scenic path that includes a loop around the historic Fairgrounds Racetrack. The course concludes at the Deutsches Haus located on Moss Street.

The Horsepower Challenge is a specific segment within the race, supported by New Balance New Orleans, where the top male and female runners are recognized. Additionally, a team award is presented to the largest participating group, with the winning team receiving clubhouse passes for the Fair Grounds opening day.
Every registered participant receives two entries to the New Orleans Oktoberfest festival, providing access to German food, music, and dancing. Pre-race packet pickup is held at the Fair Grounds in the Black & Gold Room, while race day packet pickup and late registration are available near the start line.
