About the race
The Oktoberfest Run & Walk takes place on Saturday, October 10, 2026, with start and finish at Deutsches Haus in New Orleans (1700 Moss Street, LA 70119). The course includes a circuit of the Fairgrounds Racetrack and is presented as a set of running and walking events that coincide with the NOLA Oktoberfest festival.
Event formats include running races and a racewalk. The Horsepower Challenge is a one-mile competition held on the track; the top male and top female finishers in that challenge receive prizes. A family entry option for the New Orleans Track Club covers households of two to six people and includes two race premiums per family entry. Packet pickup and race day registration are available at Deutsches Haus.
Participants receive a race bib that grants two free entries to New Orleans Oktoberfest; each bib admission is valid for one use and may be redeemed on any festival weekend. The festival component offers German beer, food, live music, and stage entertainment alongside the race activities.
