Oktoberfest Half Marathon - College Station, TX
This event offers two measured road race distances: a Half Marathon and a 10K. Both distances finish inside Kyle Field at Texas A&M University, and the event is part of the BCS Marathon Race Series.
Aid stations are placed approximately every 1.5 miles and provide water and Gatorade. Additional fueling stations are located at miles 4.5 and 10.5 and include items such as energy gels. Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Post-race amenities reflect an Oktoberfest theme and include local food and beer, music, and a designated area for resting. The race lists up to six local craft beers on site and mentions sausage from Slovacek’s Sausage among the food offerings. Each finisher receives a custom medal, a high-quality finisher shirt, and a custom beer glass to use at the post-race party and to keep.
Registration fees vary by registration period. The event organizers state that proceeds benefit Mercy Project, a local nonprofit working to address child slavery in Ghana through economic development and sustainability.
