Oktoberfest Half Marathon - College Station, TX
The event is a road race held in College Station, Texas in late October. It offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Both the Half Marathon and the 10K finish inside Kyle Field at Texas A&M University. Aid stations are placed every 1.5 miles along the route and provide water and Gatorade; aid stations at miles 4.5 and 10.5 also serve as fueling stations with items such as energy gels.
Post race amenities are presented with an Oktoberfest theme and include several local craft beers, music, and a post race food selection featuring Slovacek’s Sausage. Finishers in both distances receive a custom finisher medal, a high quality soft finisher shirt, and a custom beer glass that participants may use at the on site beer offerings and then take home.
Registration fees are tiered by month, with lower rates earlier in the registration period; the site lists monthly fee levels for the Half Marathon and the 10K. Training plans are provided for both distances, and the event donates all proceeds to Mercy Project, a local nonprofit working to eradicate child slavery in Ghana through economic development and sustainability.
