Oklahoma Steps Against Skin Cancer is a charity run and walk held on May 30, 2026, on the Eagle Trail at Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond, Oklahoma. The event raises funds that will be donated to The Skin Cancer Foundation and supports people affected by skin cancer.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 1 mile fun run and walk
- 5K run and walk
- Virtual 5K
Registration fees listed for the in-person events include a lower fee for the one mile event and a higher fee for the 5K and virtual 5K. Only 5K participants receive a race bib and must check in before the event. One mile participants do not need to check in unless picking up a t-shirt. Walk-up registration is accepted on race day under the event's stated conditions.
Packet pick up for 5K participants is scheduled the day before the event at the SSM Dermatology Center of Excellence in Oklahoma City. Check-in on race day is available in the Memorial Road Church of Christ parking lot adjacent to the Eagle Trail.
The 5K will be timed by 12:1 Running. Medals will be awarded to the top 20 male and top 20 female finishers. Prizes are planned for the team with the most members and the team with the most creative name. A Tasty Snow food truck will be present; participants who show a bib or vote for Best Team Name receive a discount. Strollers and dogs on leash are welcome. The event proceeds rain or shine.
