Event Overview
The 5K Wolf Run and Walk is a community event taking place at Okemos High School. The event features multiple activities for different age groups. All participants who register by August 11, 2026 receive an event t-shirt and a participation medal.
Events and Activities
The event includes several separate activities:
- Mascot Trot 5K: A 5K run/walk with official timekeeping for finishers.
- Roll and Stroll: A non-competitive 5K route suitable for strollers and wheelchairs.
- Mile Run: Open to participants aged 12 and under.
- Kids Sprint: Open to participants aged 6 and under.
- Mascot Trot: A special race featuring mascots, including the debut of a new Okemos Wolf mascot.
Beyond the races, the event includes a pop-up shop with Okemos-branded apparel, concessions, and giveaways. A doggy obstacle course featuring the Okemos WoofPack is also part of the day. Admission to the stadium is free.
Location and Logistics
The event is held at Okemos High School, located at 2800 Jolly Road in Okemos, Michigan. Parking is available in the school's large parking lot.
Awards and Proceeds
Awards are given for the Mascot Trot 5K. The overall male and female winners receive a $25 gift certificate. Top finishers in various age groups receive a $10 Playmakers gift certificate.
