5K Wolf Run & Walk - Okemos
The 5K Wolf Run & Walk starts and ends at the Okemos High School Athletic Stadium. The course leaves the stadium and uses a mixture of closed roads, trails, and sidewalks. A full 5K distance is completed by running two loops of the course. Official timing for the 5K is provided by the Michigan Running Foundation.
Registration opens on May 1. Early bird registration is $25 through June 30, regular registration is $30 through August 14, late registration is available through August 28 for $35, and race day registration is $40. Participants who register by August 14 are guaranteed an event t-shirt and a “Wolf Run 2026” participation medal.
5K entrants are invited to the stadium for viewing of shorter stadium races and the event pep rally. Anyone registered for the 5K may also participate in the Family Mile Run.
Awards for the 5K are sponsored by DICK's Sporting Goods. Overall male and female winners receive a $25 gift card. Age group winners receive a $10 DICK's Sporting Goods gift card. Age groups include 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
Proceeds support P.A.W.S., the Okemos High School student organization that manages the district mascot program. Funds support mascot costume maintenance, student leadership development, community outreach, school spirit initiatives, and future projects.
