Event overview
The 5K Wolf Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Okemos High School, 2800 Jolly Rd, Okemos, MI 48864. The districtwide community event includes a pop-up shop of Okemos-branded apparel, concessions, giveaways, and a doggy obstacle course run by the Okemos WoofPack. Admission into the stadium is free. Proceeds will go toward mascot appearances, mascot upkeep, and event swag.
Events and logistics
- Mascot Trot 5K - official timekeeping for finishers; new Okemos Wolf mascot will debut.
- Mile Run - open to ages 12 and under.
- Kids Sprint - open to ages 6 and under.
- Roll and Stroll - registration opens January 1, 2026.
Medals and T-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by August 11, 2026. Awards for the Mascot 5K include a $25 gift certificate for overall male and female winners and $10 Playmakers gift certificates for top finishers in age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over.
Parking will be available in the large Okemos High School parking lot; the smaller lot next to the stadium will be blocked off. The Mascot Trot 5K and Roll & Stroll route begin at the second entrance of the Okemos High School stadium. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
