Ohio Mother's Day Run
The Ohio Mother's Day running event takes place at Dragonfly Day Camp in Lewis Center, Ohio. This event features several course lengths to accommodate different preferences and includes a specific focus on celebrating Mother's Day through various amenities and gifts for participants.
Participants can choose from five primary distances:
- 15k
- 10k
- 5k
- 1-Mile
- Kids Fun Run
All participants in the 1-Mile, 5k, 10k, and 15k categories receive a flower in a vase, with options for color and shape. In addition to the flower, these runners can select one item of apparel or gear, such as a tutu in one of nine colors, a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, a hooded sweatshirt, or an additional flower and vase. The event is chip timed, and participants receive a custom branded race bib and instant results. Snacks and refreshments are provided at the finish line.
The event permits the use of strollers and is dog friendly, featuring a dedicated water station for dogs at the finish line. While headphones are allowed, the organizers advise caution regarding environmental awareness. The races are held rain or shine, though delays may occur in the event of lightning.
