48th Annual Oglesby Turkey Trot
The 48th Annual Oglesby Turkey Trot is a community road event held Thursday, November 26, 2026 at the Elks Lodge, 800 East Walnut, Oglesby, IL 61348. The event features a 3 Mile run that begins and ends at the Elks Lodge and posts official results to Starved Rock Runners, Run Sign Up and Racing Expectations.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, November 25 at the Oglesby Elks. Limited race day registration and check in are available on race day. Participants who pick up bibs early may also collect the commemorative stocking cap reserved for early registrants.
Awards are given separately for male and female competitors in these categories: Overall; 9 and under; 10 to 12; 13 to 16; 17 to 19; 20 to 24; 25 to 29; 30 to 34; 35 to 39; 40 to 44; 45 to 49; 50 to 54; 55 to 59; 60 to 64; 65 to 69; 70 to 74; 75 plus. A kids fun run for ages 12 and under follows the Turkey Trot and is free of charge; participants must sign a waiver.
On course, participants are asked to know the course and run safely, remaining on the far side of the roadway except when passing. Water and refreshments will be available at the finish area.
