Porthcawl 10K and Junior Races : 27 June 2027
The Porthcawl 10K is a seaside road race held in the town of Porthcawl on 27 June 2027. The event uses fully closed roads and passes several coastal landmarks and town features, including Rest Bay, Trecco Bay, Coney Bay, the town centre, the historic Grand Pavilion and Porthcawl Lighthouse. The start and finish are on the Promenade outside the Pavilion, and parts of the course run through Trecco Bay Holiday Park and the town shopping area on John Street.
Race entries include a finisher medal, a technical race t-shirt, a water station on course, pacers in every start wave, access to an Event Village and live tracking via the Run 4 Wales app. A race pack with the running number is posted to participants within a week of the event.
The event also includes a programme of junior and family races staged after the main race. Junior activity options on the day include a Fun Run, a Toddler Dash and a Future Challengers competitive race. Entry is open to wheelchair users in both the 10K and the Fun Run; buggies are permitted only in the Fun Run.
The Porthcawl 10K forms part of the Run 4 Wales 10K Series. The 2026 event attracted more than 6,800 entries across the 10K and junior races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
