Event Overview
The Officer Christopher Reeves Scholarship 5K is a fundraising event held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, in Millville, New Jersey. The event honors Officer Christopher Reeves, who was killed in the line of duty in 2012. Since 2014, the Millville Police Department has organized this scholarship in his name. Funds raised are awarded as scholarships to graduating seniors from Millville Senior High School to support their further education.
Events and Registration
Participants can choose from two events:
- A 5K Run
- A 1.5 Mile Walk
Registration for both events opens on March 1, 2026. Participants who register by April 15 are guaranteed a commemorative t-shirt. Race day registration is available, opening and closing before the event start.
Location and Course
The event starts and finishes at Rieck Avenue School in Millville. The walk has a unique course feature: participants will finish at a cemetery site and be shuttled back to the starting point at the school. A course map for the 5K run is available online.
Awards and Policies
Awards are given to the top three female and male overall finishers, as well as in multiple age groups. The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
