Off the Beaten Path 3K and 6K Trail Race is scheduled for September 19, 2026, at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve in Grinnell, Iowa, located at 15148 Jacob Ave.
The event offers the following distances:

- 6K
The course runs through tall grass prairie and woodlands and uses grass surfaces. Wildlife may be present along the route. Snacks and refreshments are served immediately following the events and prizes are awarded. First, second, and third place winners in each age category for both the 3K and 6K will receive awards. Age categories are 14 and younger, 15 to 18, 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and over. Entry for each distance is listed at $30. Proceeds from the trail race benefit the natural resources and sustainability of Jasper County through the nonprofit Jasper Conservation Connection, which supports parks, conservation programs, and outdoor education.
