Oconee Therapeutic Riding 5K and Virtual 5K
An in person 5K run/walk and a virtual 5K are scheduled for August 29, 2026 at Briarwood Baptist Church in Watkinsville, Georgia. The in person course winds through the adjacent Northwest Woods neighborhood. Virtual participants complete the distance remotely and submit a finish time; virtual entries do not receive shirts or awards.
The event also includes an annual Lap of Love for children with special needs served by Oconee Therapeutic Riding; all children are invited to run or walk this one mile segment. Proceeds support the continued programs of Oconee Therapeutic Riding and their work with children and adults with special needs, including scholarships.
Fees are listed for the event options and separate youth participation: the 5K and virtual 5K each have a registration fee of $25.00, and the Lap of Love has a registration fee of $10.00.
