Zydeco Marathon : Lafayette, March 6–7, 2027
Zydeco Marathon is a two day running event held in downtown Lafayette with multiple distance options and a Sunday finish line festival featuring live music, food, and drinks. The event takes place at Parc International and other downtown locations.
Distances offered:
- Full Marathon 26.2 miles
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles
- Half Marathon 2-Person Team Relay
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Participant items and timing: Full, half and relay entries include a race bib, race bag, Sunday race shirt, finisher medal on completion, and festival access; these events are chip timed by Pelican Timing. 5K participants receive a race bib, a 5K race shirt, finisher medal, and festival access; the 5K is chip timed. The 1 mile fun run includes a race bib and a finisher ribbon and is not timed.
Logistics and policies: Packet pickup is scheduled at Parc International on the days before the Sunday races; there is no packet pickup on Sunday. Late registration is available at packet pickup. Entry fees are non refundable and non transferable. A deferral option is available for a fee with specific deadlines. Age minimums apply by event.
Courses are USATF sanctioned and certified and may be used as Boston Marathon qualifying courses. All proceeds from Zydeco Marathon 2027 will go to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Course safety measures include marked routes, volunteers, traffic control, hydration stations about every 1.5 miles, and on site medical support.
