Zydeco Marathon 2027
The Zydeco Marathon is a two day running event in Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, held March 6–7, 2027 with races based at Parc International (200 Garfield Street). Distance options include a full marathon, half marathon, a two-person half marathon relay, a 5K and a 1 Mile fun run. The weekend also includes Ainsley’s Angels participant categories for the marathon, half marathon and 5K.

All full, half and relay participants receive a race bib, race bag, Sunday race shirt and a finisher's medal upon completion; the 5K entrants receive a 5K race shirt and finisher's medal upon completion; 1 Mile participants receive a finisher's ribbon and that event is not timed. The full, half, relay and 5K events will be chip timed by Pelican Timing. Age minimums apply: full marathon 15 years, half and relay 13 years. Packet pickup is at Parc International and the deadline to be guaranteed a shirt with registration is February 12, 2027. There is no refund or transfer of entry fees; a $25 fee applies to defer registration to the next year with a deferral deadline of March 6, 2027. Distance transfers between Saturday and Sunday events are not allowed.
The race is USATF sanctioned and courses are USATF certified; the event can serve as a Boston Marathon qualifier. Courses are marked with signage and cones, staffed by volunteers and traffic officers, with hydration stations about every 1.5 miles and medical staff at the finish. All proceeds from Zydeco Marathon 2027 go to St Jude Children's Research Hospital; the host organization Funraisers for St Jude Inc has raised $970,000 for St Jude since 2020.
