About the race
The Oceanic Multisport Series in Khorfakkan is a triathlon event organized by Oceanic Hotel in cooperation with Endurance Sports Services. The race begins with a swim in the calm waters of the Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean, continues on a bike course through Khorfakkan on smooth, virtually traffic-free roads with support from Sharjah Police, and finishes with a run along the new Khorfakkan Corniche jogging track. The venue is about 90 minutes from Dubai.
Race distances offered:
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 24.6 km bike, 5 km run
- Super Sprint: 375 m swim, 16.4 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Junior: 150 m swim, 8 km bike, 1.5 km run
Mixed relay teams of two or three athletes are accepted. The race village includes sporting goods, bike mechanics, coffee and refreshments, and other race-day services. Facilities include medical services, toilets, changing rooms and showers, parking options, and spectator areas. Timing is automated with electronic certificates, finisher and finalists medals, and trophies. A breakfast voucher is included for all registered athletes; guest breakfast tickets are available for a fee. Oceanic Hotel offers event rates: single room AED 450, double room (athlete + partner) AED 450, two nights (athlete + partner) AED 850.
