Fujairah International Triathlon : 7th Edition
The 7th Edition of the Fujairah International Triathlon takes place in Fujairah City and features open-water swimming in calm ocean waters, cycling on traffic-free roads, and a run on a designated running track located just meters from the water’s edge. The course is described as flat and smooth and is about a 90-minute drive from Dubai.
Racing options cover multiple distances:
- Olympic (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run)
- Sprint (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run)
- Super Sprint (375 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run)
- Juniors Super Sprint (150 m swim, 10 km bike, 1.5 km run)
Mixed relay teams of two or three athletes may compete. The event offers a total prize pool of 99,000 AED split across elite, age-group, and relay categories, with separate prizes for citizens and open categories; individual first-place prizes range from 3,000 to 4,000 AED. Relay prizes are 4,000 AED for first, 3,000 AED for second, and 2,000 AED for third.
Included for participants are electronic timing and certificates, live results, medals, photo service or downloads, refreshments, a prize-giving, and race apparel items such as a T shirt, cap, towel, and swim cap. On-site facilities include medical support, parking, toilets, changing rooms, and showers. Race pack collection is handled at the event venue and timing chips must be returned after the race.
