7th Edition of Fujairah International Triathlon
The event is a multi-distance triathlon held in Fujairah City on coastal roads and facilities. Swimming takes place in calm ocean waters, the cycling stages use traffic-free roads, and the run finishes on a designated running track located just meters from the water’s edge. The course is described as flat and smooth and is accessible from Dubai by a 90 minute drive.
Distances offered include:
- Olympic: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Super Sprint: 375 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Juniors Super Sprint: 150 m swim, 10 km bike, 1.5 km run
The programme accepts individual athletes and mixed relay teams of two or three athletes, with age categories across junior and adult ranges. The total prize pool is 99,000 AED, allocated across elite, age group, and relay categories. Individual first-place prizes range from 3,000 to 4,000 AED depending on the race. Relay prizes are 4,000 AED for first, 3,000 AED for second, and 2,000 AED for third.
Entries include live results, electronic certificates, timing, medals, a photo service or download, refreshments, and event apparel and swim items such as a T shirt, cap, towel, and swim cap.
