Event information
Ocean Running Club's Pine Beach event is scheduled for June 28, 2026 at Vista Park in Pine Beach, New Jersey (GPS: 536 Hillside Avenue). The event includes three official competitions:
- 5K Run
- 1 mile
- 5K RUCK
Listed prices at time of posting show the 5K and 5K RUCK at $35 (previously $40) and the 1 mile at $22. Registration opens January 30, 2026 at 9:00pm EST and is available online until race morning. Packets, including bibs and shirts, can be picked up the morning of the race beginning at 6:45 am. Shirts are included with 5K registration while supplies last; shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after June 11 or for race-day registrants.
Logistics and rules
The 5K RUCK division requires weighted rucks: 10 lb for participants under 150 lb and 20 lb for participants above 150 lb. Awards include first male and first female finishers in the RUCK division with GO RUCK patches for all RUCK finishers. Overall awards are given to the top three male and top three female finishers, plus top three in five-year age groups. The course has two official water stops and water at the finish. Portable toilets are available in the park but not along the course. Parking is available in two town lots and on side streets; some lots are permit only outside race morning.
