OC Fair Fun Run 5K & 1 Mile
The OC Fair Fun Run takes place at the OC Fair & Event Center on August 9, 2026. The event offers two distances and a course that passes through the fairgrounds with game stations and photo opportunities along the route.

- 1.1 Mile Carnival Detour Dash
The 1.1 mile option is described as suitable for children and parents and is runner, walker and stroller friendly. The course includes three available fair games along the route and is intended to allow participants to stop for photos.
Packet pickup is available before race day at A Snail’s Pace in Fountain Valley, with in-store merchandise discounts for those who pick up early. Race day bib pickup is located near the OC Fair Main Gate.
A virtual option runs during the month of August; participants can complete the 5K or 1 mile on their own, upload results, and receive a race package including a medal and t-shirt shipped at no added cost. Event day parking is free for registered runners at the OC Fair parking address. A 1.5 hour course time limit is in place to allow the fair to open to the public.
