About the race
The Oberun 5K is a summer running event held in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Participants complete a 5 km course that can be navigated by running, jogging, or walking. The event concludes at a beer garden presented by Bell's Brewery, where finishers receive cold Oberon beer.
The registration for this edition opens in early March. Participants who complete the course receive a bottle opener finisher's medal and a finisher's cup. An optional race shirt is also available for those who choose to purchase it.
The post-race environment includes several amenities and activities for participants. The site features bonfires, sand volleyball courts, and corn hole games. Food trucks are present on-site to provide various meal options. The event is supported by partners including Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation, the Border-to-Border Trail, and local running and hydration organizations.
