Oasis Dash
Oasis Dash is a multi-distance event at Bob Wentz Park on the Lake Travis shoreline in Austin, Texas. The event offers looped trail courses on sandy lakeside paths with waterfront views and amenities at the park.
Distances include:
- Half-Marathon (13.1 mi)
- 5 Mile (8K) RRCA Championship
- 5K Run, Walk & Ruck
- The Speedyard (shrinking clock format, up to 17.03 mi)
The half-marathon uses repeated laps of the 5K course, includes chip timing with lap splits, water and electrolytes at every lap pass, a custom finisher medal, and age group awards. The 5 Mile serves as the RRCA Texas State Championship with championship medals by age and adaptive divisions.
The 5K includes a ruck division. Ruck gear requirements are a rucksack with reflective elements, hydration, trail footwear and weather-appropriate clothing. Weight requirements are dry weight only: Men 20 lb (9.1 kg), Women 10 lb (4.5 kg). Weight checks occur at the start and finish.
The Speedyard is a timed elimination format on an approximately 1.3 mile lakeside loop. Each round consists of two laps and the clock shortens each round; finishers who complete all rounds earn a final scratch-start lap where the fastest time wins. The event notes park amenities such as beach access, picnic areas, restrooms, and swimming. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
