Oak Ridges Moraine Adventure Relay – June 13, 2026, Gores Landing, ON
The Oak Ridges Moraine Adventure Relay is a team, human-powered relay that crosses the Moraine. The event is staged, includes multiple disciplines, and supports trail maintenance and awareness.
Two event formats are offered. The Full Relay includes canoeing, cycling and running, with a canoe leg on Rice Lake available only for the Full Relay. The Half Relay covers a subsection of the main route and does not include the canoe leg. Teams may include up to 15 members for the Full Relay and up to 7 members for the Half Relay. Two timing divisions are listed: Elite and Recreational, each with different timing rules.
Course information in brief:
- ~160 km Full Relay including canoe, bike and run
- ~90 km Half Relay with no canoe leg
The course is divided into six bike stages totaling about ~95 km on mixed trail, sand, gravel and pavement, and seven run or hike stages totaling about ~55 km on rolling trail terrain. Water and snacks are provided at checkpoints; participants are expected to be self-sufficient between checkpoints. GPS position tracking and detailed maps are provided for stages and checkpoints. The relay also functions as a fundraiser to support the Oak Ridges Trail Association's trail maintenance and awareness work. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
