Oak Ridges Moraine Adventure Relay 2026
The Oak Ridges Moraine Adventure Relay is a multisport event organized by the Oak Ridges Trail Association. It takes place on June 13, 2026, in Gores Landing, Ontario.
Participants can register as a team for one of two formats:
- Full Relay: Approximately 160 km combining canoeing, biking, and running.
- Half Relay: Approximately 90 km, excluding the canoe leg.
The full relay begins with a canoe stage on Rice Lake. The biking portion covers about 95 km of mixed trail, sand, gravel, and pavement. The running/hiking portion covers about 55 km of rolling trail terrain. Water and snacks are provided at checkpoints, but participants are expected to be self-sufficient between them.
Teams can have up to 15 members for the full relay and up to 7 members for the half relay. Two competitive divisions are offered: Elite and Recreational. Elite teams are timed on total elapsed "gun time," while Recreational teams are timed on the summed total of each individual leg.
The event also serves as a fundraiser for the Oak Ridges Trail Association, supporting trail maintenance and awareness of the natural landscape of the Oak Ridges Moraine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
